Hurricane Bone Collector [KAB001]

An instrument that thoroughly retrieves the autogenous bone fragment
and adult stem cells that have been discarded through the suction
during drilling of the alveolar bone for implant placement.

Composition

Assembly Method

  1. ① Centrifugal Tube & Cup assembly in Hurricane Body
  2. ② Assemble Suction Handle & Tip in use to Hurricane Bone Collector
Weight
  • Hurricane bone collector(Body+Tube+Cup) : 117g
  • Hurricane bone collector + Suction(Handle & Tip) : 200g
Specimen Weight
  • Centrifugal Tube Specimen Volume :12ml

Operating Principle

When coolant, blood, fat, bone fragments etc. are sucked duringdrilling
inside the Hurricane Bone Collector body, the descending vortexformed by centrifugal force
gathers bone fragment, bone dust, blood, stem cells in Centrifugal Cup.

Instruction

  • General suction instrument
    is used for general medical
    trea tments such as incision
    valve formation and
    inflammation removal.

  • Hurricane Suction is mount-
ed just before drilling for the
    placement of Implant.

  • Adjust the suction tip down-
    wards to fit mandible.

  • Position the specimen colle-
    ction tube downwards.

  • Bone tissue is collected dur-
    ing drilling with sufficient
    saline solution douche.
    - Insufficient saline solution
    cause blood coagulation
    and disturbs collecting
    bony tissue.

  • Disassemble the Hurricane
    Suction and collection tube
    after completion of drilling

  • Reassemble the Suction Tip
    to original Suction
    instrument.

  • Place two specimen tube in
    symmetrical position and do
    centrifugation under the same
    conditions as PRF.

  • Remove supernatant inside
    the collection tube through
    suction.

  • Take out the bone tissue and
PRF from the bottom of the
    collection tube.

  • Loss of Implant buccal plate
    bone.

  • Bone graft with INNO CaP.

  • Graft Hurricane autogenous
    bone tissue.

  • Graft autogenous bone tissue
    on outermost layer.

Way to Grasp

  • Example of correct way to grasp

Comfortably grip in an angle which assistant do not interfere with
the operator and patient but maintain the Centrifugal Tube
    in vertical direction.

  • Example of incorrect way to grasp

Depending on the situation, the instrument may work correctly
at an incline of less than 15 ° in the vertical direction,
but in larger angles, the instrument may not work properly.

Suction Tip Direction Adjustment Method

Following to the position of the operator(doctor) and the assistant(hygienist), rotate the direction of the Suction Tip
according to the patient's intraoral surgical site.

Centrifuge Application Method

Use after purifying the collected specimen from the centrifuge.

① Insert the Centrifugal Cup
downwards.

② Symmetrically, both horizontally and vertically,
insert the CentrifugalTube in the Centrifuge.

  • Caution A
    • The maximum volume of collected specimens is the amount of
specimen generated during the operation of 2 or less implant
      placementper Centrifugal tube.

    • The maximum specimen volume to be collected in Centrifugal
tube is 12ml, however appropriate volume of specimen is
8~10ml of specimen to prevent flowing down during movement
      or operating centrifuge.
  • Caution B
    • In case of different height of collected specimen in centrifugal Tube,
add saline solution to adjust the level. Different height may cause
unsatisfactory purification effect due to not properly
      functioning centrifuge.

Cleaning and Sterilization Methods for Reuse

< Cleaning >
  1. 1. After the procedure, suck 1L of distilled water or saline solution with suction device
to remove blood and foreign substances inside the instrument.
  2. 2. After disassembling the Hurricane adapted body, tube and cup,
following to the instruction of manufacturer, dilute the enzyme
cleaner with tap water . Then proceed ultrasonic
cleaning for 10 minutes then clean with tap water for 3 minutes.
  3. 3. Completely drain with dry cloth or fan heater.
< Sterilization >
  1. 1. Before use, sterilize for 15 minutes at 132℃ or at 135℃
for 10 minutes with a high pressure steam sterilizer .
  2. 2. Dry for 30 minutes after high pressure steam sterilizer.
  3. 3. Keep the sterilized instruments in clean environment at 15-30℃.
