What are the Precautions of Dental Implant?

The followings are precautions that must be followed :

  • 01Put an ice pack to prevent swelling after the procedure.
    (Bruises around the sites might occur if not treat well in time
    of post management)

  • 02Apply the gauze on the sites for 2 hours, do not spit
    but swallow saliva and blood.

  • 03Do not take shower with hot water on the day of procedure.
    Do not smoke and drink for a week.
    Especially smoking delays the healing period causing inhibition
    of blood supply.

  • 04Instead of eating sharp-taste or cold and hot food,
    enjoy soft food and fluids such as milk, juices and so on.

  • 05Avoid hard exercises (swimming, fitness, golf, climbing etc.) for 2 weeks.

  • 06The prescription drugs are closely related to osseointegration,
    so take all drugs without worries.
